Hi everyone,

Can I safely make a backup of my Home folders and Applications from a Tiger HD to a Panther HD? I just installed a second HD on my home G5 2.0 and I want to install Panther on it but don't feel like re-installing every app. I own.

No, David: your applications have bits and pieces all over the place that won't be copied.

You shouldn't really copy your Home folder in place, as such, either, since the data formats aren't strictly compatible (for some apps).

You *might* be able to copy the Tiger install and then archive-and-install Panther on top...
