Setting up my new computer with help from SD
Just upgraded my mac-- and migrated all my data with -big- help from SD.
Procedure was: --Make duplicate of old system's internal HD onto external HD (with SD) --Start up new system, install browser and SD (keep your registration info!) --Copy old HD data from external HD onto new system's internal HD --Back up new internal HD (including old data) onto external HD with SD This worked very nicely and saved my sorry butt when I discovered that I'd neglected to export a copy of my old Address Book data. The only weirdness was that on a couple of occasions the new system had to be told what application to use on a given document... Matt F. |
