external hard drives / enclosures
Hi,
Question about bootable external hard drives. I like to have lots of little hard external hard drives, so I buy external cases and put small-volume drives into them. I've been using Adaptec firewire encloses since these (as I learned here) have the Oxford bridge and are bootable. They work great. The Adaptec enclosures have recently been discontinued. Any other suggestions? Thanks! --Jonathan |

Sorry, Jonathan -- I haven't surveyed currently available enclosures to see who's using true Oxford chipsets -- perhaps the Wiebetech ones?

Ok David
I didn't find the product I was looking for with that brand but a little more looking around led me to BYTECC ME-720F 3.5" 1394 External Enclosure - for about $30 which has Oxford 911... so I think I'll try that one. ----Jonathan |
