Superduper hanging on copy
Would really appreciate a point in the right direction... Have spent too many hours trying to solve this myself.
Recently started using Super Duper after a fatal hard drive crash on my Intel Macbook. Bought 2 x 500Gb Western Digital Scorpio Hdds. Installed the first in the machine and reinstalled everything as it should be. Am running the second in an external USB SATA enclosure. The drive is recognised and runs on the power from one USB - but I am powering it from 2 USBs for good measure. I have fomatted the 2nd drive GUID to make it bootable and I have erased it writing zeros. THE PROBLEM - I just can't get the clone function on SD to work. Usuaully it gets to 8GB or so and just hangs. The orginal disk has about 110GB of data on it. Tearing my hair out... ![]() Here is the log: | 04:38:07 PM | Info | SuperDuper!, 2.5 (84), path: /Applications/SuperDuper!.app, Mac OS 10.4.11 build 8S2167 (i386) | 04:38:07 PM | Info | Started on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 at 4:38 PM | 04:38:07 PM | Info | Source Volume: Macbook 1, mount: /, device: /dev/disk0s2, media: WDC WD5000BEVT-22ZAT0, interconnect: Internal SATA, file system: "Journaled HFS+", OS: 10.4.11 (8S2167), capacity: 465.44 GB, used: 97.35 GB, directories: 65202, files: 470065, ejectable: NO, ACLs: Disabled | 04:38:07 PM | Info | Target Volume: Macbook 2, mount: /Volumes/Macbook 2, device: /dev/disk1s2, media: WDC WD50 00BEVT-22ZAT0, interconnect: External USB, file system: "Journaled HFS+", OS: N/A, capacity: 465.44 GB, used: 0.11 GB, directories: 4, files: 7, ejectable: NO, ACLs: Disabled | 04:38:07 PM | Info | Copy Mode : Erase, then copy files | 04:38:07 PM | Info | Copy Script : Backup - all files.dset | 04:38:07 PM | Info | Transcript : BuildTranscript.plist | 04:38:08 PM | Info | PHASE: 1.
