OS X Server 1.3.9?
I just downloaded SD to backup my OS X Server 10.3.9. I copied the app to the Applications folder, clicked on it, and poof, nothing happens.
It tries to start, the icon bounces a couple times in the dock, then it quits. Is this OS supported? I upgraded Retrospect only to find out that I needed to spend $500 to allow it work with "Server". If it is supported, what am I doing wrong. Drag, drop, click. What else is there? Last edited by survivor; 09-25-2005 at 11:23 PM. |

It's supported, survivor. But, there's something about your configuration that's causing startup to fail.
Could you open the Console, try it again, and see if any diagnostic is produced?

Here's the error message
Ah. There is an error.
Unable to create directory username/Library/Application Support/Super Duper! I'll repair permissions first, then change them manually if I need to. I'll let you know what happens. |

OK!
So, ensure that Application Support is writable, and -- once fixed -- give it another shot,

It Works!
I did and it does.
That's the fastest Customer Support I've ever gotten on a Sunday night. Thank you very much. Now go back to watching Desperate Housewives. |

Glad to hear it, survivor -- we aim to please. (Though, sometimes, we need to sleep!)
