Just checking before copying back from Sandbox
I set up a Sandbox quite some time ago, am getting ready to install OS 10.5, have a current backup of my original volume, but haven't kept track of the many application images and packages installed since then.
Is this a reasonable time to "reset/clean the table" by copying back from the Sandbox? Should I not bother? While I never ran into a problem with the Sandbox that led to me to start up from the original system, there were some occasions when I installed the same application on both the original volume and the Sandbox. (As I recall, I did this as a quick way to resolve a Dockfun icon issue -- I think BudSimrin referred to a related problem in his forum post.) I can see I might (because of the double-installation problem mentioned above) need to reinstall a few applications. Should I also expect to have to reinstall applescripts associated with those applications? What about haxies (MenuMaster), etc.? humanengr |
