Hi,
I'm trying to restore my Mackbook's hard drive to a previous backup I did last week, I used the backup - all files option to .dmg file, and I have the .dmg file safely on my external hard drive. The problem is I'm unable to restore this disk image to my Macbooks hard drive. I boot from the install disk which came with the Macbook and go into Disk Utility, I then choose 'restore' and select the .dmg file as the source file. Then I run into problems, I'm unable to drag the hard drive into the destination box (in fact nothing is dragable from the left side pane). Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Many thanks, Dave |
