Mystery data being copied?
I've just used SD 2.1.1 to back up my hard drive. Since my last back-up, using the older software, I've added a few word processor files, three jpg photos and nothing else I can think of. So far the back-up has copied 2GB of new data, and it's only about half way. Where is all this new data coming from? Did the old version of SD miss a lot of stuff?

No, it certainly shouldn't have. Are you certain nothing else has changed? It's not unusual to see quite a lot of data modified by the system on a per-run basis...

Mystery data
Dear Dave, When I've done back-ups in the past it's unusual to copy more than a few hundred MB unless I've done a Final Cut Pro project or something similar. Today I did back-ups on two different computers, one a G4 Dual, the other a MacBook Pro. In neither case have I done more than the odd word processing job and downloaded the occasional email from firends with a few jpg snaps in them. In both cases more than 3 GB was copied. What was it copying? Any ideas?

There's no way for me to know, Peter. If you repeat the backup, do you have another 2GB copied?
