Can't Do Scheduled Backups With Catalina
Hi Dave
Followed your directions "APFS Conversion Required" in SuperDuper to reformat my LaCie external drive. I was able to do a fresh backup of Macintosh HD, but I'm apparently failing with doing subsequent scheduled backups. Destination LaCie drive is named SupDupBkup, and it has two volumes also named SupDupBackup. Not quite sure how I managed to create that. Last night's scheduled copy line says: "Smart Update SupDupBkup from Macintosh HD...Sat, December 28 at 3:30 AM...Fri, December 27 at 3:30 AM" The text is red. Any suggestions? Thanks, Stan Running Catalina 10.15.2 on a new 16" MacBook Pro. SuperDuper V 3.3.1(121) |

As I explain at the blog (and as Apple should, but doesn't, explain), Catalina breaks your drive into two volumes, a system volume and a data volume.
Send the log from that red entry in using the "Send to shirt pocket" button, please (although perhaps you just need to delete and recreate the schedule, Stan...)
