Superduper and Package Contents
With iMovie 10 (and iPhoto before it) Apple puts media content into self contained packages. So can Superduper avoid copying all the libraries all the times? I had iPhoto Library that was 'touched' every time I used to view pictures so Superduper even in Smart Mode was taking ages to copy that Library because dates were changed. I moved the Library away and Superduper was fast as in the past. Now with a 1TB iMovies 10 library to backup I am afraid that this slowness will repeat. What do you suggest?

We don't copy the library as a single unit. We always go into the library and only copy the items that have explicitly changed. Bundles, at the file level are just folders and files; we treat them as such.

Thanks that's reassuring! However if dates and times are 'touched' by the apps Superduper can only copy all the changes (Apple should avoid refreshing the all Dates every time I open a 250MB project in a 1000MB Library) . Thanks and thank you for superduper ! It's great!

Yup, exactly. If the files are changed, we're going to copy them. If not, we're not. But we'll only copy the things that are changed.

I can confirm that it is Apple fault. When I open iMovie all Libraries have date time stamp updated and that makes intelligent backup systems not useful.
