Cloning to a Fusion Drive
Hi Dave,
I have a 2010 27" iMac wtih a 1TB HDD, Yosemite. I am planning to clone this HDD to an external HDD. Then I want to replace the Superdrive with a 240 GB SSD and combine the HDD and SSD to one Fusion Drive. Can I clone the external backup HDD back to the new Fusion Drive without any problems? Or do I have to install the system first and move everything using Migration Tool (or Time Machine)? What do you recommend? Thanks, Tonden |

You should be able to copy back without any problem, Tonden. If you have a problem, send me some email to support and we'll figure out what's wrong.
