Welcome Back Super Duper!
Dave, thank you - and the Super Duper team - for the effort put into getting 2.6.2 out. I experienced some unrelated problems today that took me on a wandering course in drive integrity diagnostics, and other tests and travails too numerous to mention...
Long story short, my two SATA backup drives are temporarily sitting in a NexStar USB twin SATA dock and on schedule at 1:00am SD 2.6.2 repaired permissions, updated my 265GB boot copy, and fixed pre-binding in about 15 minutes. At 1:16am it was wash, rinse and repeat for my local 627GB Time machine drive copy. While it's still running - and will be for a few more hours - it's zipping right along, having completed about 1M of 7.26M files and links in the past 25 minutes... via USB! Thanks again for your tireless support! -- Marc |

The first backup I did after the update showed a nice improvement in the time taken. Tonight, I did another backup, and for reasons unknown to me, there was yet another big improvement in getting the backup done! It's almost down to pre-Snow Leopard days! I'll TAKE it! Thanks, Dave! |
