Getting an email notification when SuperDuper is successful
Wondering if there's a way to get SuperDuper to notify me when the scheduled daily overnight clone backup is successful (or not successful). I was thinking about perhaps running a script to email me when it's finished, but my scripting skills are weak.
Right now, I have SuperDuper set to shut down the computer when the copy if finished. It's poor man's notification system, because if the computer is shut down in the morning, it usually means that SuperDuper has successfully completed its routines. But there must be a more elegant way. Any ideas? |

Install Growl (http://www.growl.info). We fully support it, and it can be configured to notify you about successful/failed SD! backups in many different ways.

I was going to suggest Growl but it sounds more convincing when Dave does.

Thanks guys. I installed Growl and it works just as expected. (It just took me a while to figure out that there was an email display option.)
But now it's configured and works as expected. A great solution. |

Note that a new product, Prowl, will show Growl notifications on your iPhone.
