Disc labels not showing up
After imaging a few different machines, I use the option key to boot a Mac with the firewire containing the images and the disk labels are missing. How do I get them back?
Please see attached image... Thanks |

Try restarting fully again -- sounds like the firmware needs to refresh the labels...

I restarted fully and...
then restarted with the OPTION key held down and got the same thing. Any other suggestions?

Try opening the Startup Disk preference pane and selecting one of the drives there...

Yes, the names are there. This is how I have to currently do it which means it's an extra few steps. It's much faster and easier to just OPTION boot and then select the drive. However, not seeing the name makes it a guessing game.

Once you do it from there it might refresh the EFI list...
