One license, several Macs?
May I use one purchased registration serial number on several Macs in my house hold (currently 4 Macs)? Or do I need to purchase 4 licenses to use the incremental feature on all four Macs. I wasn't able to find this information in the license agreement. Sorry if I overlooked it.

If all of the Macs are yours, used by you and not other family members, we don't require you to purchase multiple licenses (but certainly appreciate when people do).
If they're others' Macs, each should have their own license.

Thank you. Two of the four Macs are mine, one is my wife's and the other belongs to my eight year old daughter. A family license would be convenient if it existed, since I certainly want to "do the right thing", but I'm not really happy with getting three separate licenses.
Would you consider it acceptable if I got two licenses, one for myself (which I already have) and one for my wife, but considered my daughter's machine as mine? After all, she doesn't have admin powers on "hers", so we can kind of, sort of, claim that it really isn't hers if she doesn't have full control over it. Cheers, -j |

At some level, it's up to you to determine what's fair and what isn't. It's not like we're going to come to your house in riot gear. ;-)
We've tried to set things up so the product is reasonably priced for all users, which is why there isn't a "family" license: typically, that means the individual price is too high, and thus unaffordable in multiples. At $27.95, we didn't think SD! was priced at a level that would make people unhappy.

I would be curious on how this would work with one mac and two users
i notice the regisration does not appear on another user side each user has their own login, but its the same mac |

The registration is stored in the account, which is why it doesn't appear for both users.

Family license would be good
I would like to see a Family license for one major and one minor reason.
Minor: lower price per machine. At least that is the way most family licensing is priced. Major: simplified management. It is much easier for me to manage one license than four. I have a 30-page Word doc full of license and login info. Less is better, from my perspective.

If you set your quantity to four when you purchase, you'll get a single license key for four users.
As far as lower price goes, see above.
