Strenge doings
I'll try to make this clear.
Today I went to back up my HD. I turned on the the LaCie external, and both partitions appeared on my desktop. When I started SD! from my internal HD, the original and target fields were empty. I selected the HD and the partition I wanted, but the dialog box didn't open and no choice for backup was available. I rebooted from the internal, reset the Open Firmware, zapped the PRAM and again, couldn't run SD! from the internal drive. Eventually, I manually updated the backup partition and rebooted from it. Then I updated the internal from the backup and when I rebooted from the internal, SD! seemed OK again. Nothing lost, no foul, but WHY did this happen? G5 1.8 iMac, 2 gig RAM, 10.4.11 |

Sounds like the settings were messed up. In the future, I think you can just remove the "Saved Settings" folder in Library/Application Support/SuperDuper! off your Home folder.
