size of sparseimage clone
I just cloned a volume that was 108GB, but the sparseimage target is only 88GB. When I mount the sparseimage, the resulting volume is 88GB in Finder's Get Info, but when showing file/folder sizes in the mounted volume, it totals 108GB, as it should.
I didn't think sparseimages were at all compressed. What accounts for this? |

I honestly don't know. Perhaps they're doing some kind of minor compression somehow?

Thanks for the response. It's only of academic interest.
