Partition external hard drive
I want to back up my 60gb macbook hard drive so i can replace it with a new 160gb drive.
i have an external hard drive that i want to use which has over 70gb free space on it. however, there is already approx 100gb of files on the hard drive that i have put on there as i ran out of space on my macbook. my question is whether creating the backup with superduper will overwrite the existing data on the external hard drive. i have seen some mention of partitioning on this forum. my external hard drive is currently not partitioned. would this be necessary. is there any way to add a partition to my external hard drive? thank you kindly! |
