Thanks... anything is faster than a half a day...
Thanks... anything is faster than a half a day installing (and building) all the components I need. (If a drive dies) So a sparse image should be fine.

Oops... guess I need new glasses. 8-) I'll take a look. The reason for the image is I'm trying to make a virgin copy of a system install with all software (web, database and others) to build another...

both /tmp and /private/tmp exist Permissions...
both /tmp and /private/tmp exist
Permissions on /tmp are:

I'm trying to backup a drive and get this error when I try. I've checked the disks with Disk Utility and all is fine.
