Error Halting Backup

I have used the unregistered version of SuperDuper to backup my system when it was on Panther with no issues. I have since moved up to Tiger and tried to use my now registered SuperDuper to back up my main HD to an external drive, but I get an error that I cannot figure out. Below is the log from SuperDuper. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks...

Chris

The implication, from the message, is that Batang.ttf -- in your User font folder -- is damaged.

To fix, I'd try to duplicate it with Finder first. If that works, delete the old one (and empty your trash), then rename the copy back to the original name and try it again.

If you can't duplicate it, I'd suggest booting from your Tiger DVD and running Disk Utility from the Installer menu. Repair your Tiger drive (not its permissions, but its structure), then boot back and give it another shot.

If neither works, I'd reinstall this font from its original media.

Hope that helps, Chris. Let me know what happens!

Thanks For The Help

Dave...

Thanks for the quick reply. This is why I support good shareware; support is a big concern as opposed to an afterthought.

I thought the font may be the issue, but wasn't sure of how to go about fixing it. I did try using Disk Warriror to fix the issue, but it didn't. I will try your suggestions tonight and get back to you. Thanks again for the help.

Chris

No problem, Chris -- if Disk Warrior couldn't fix it, it's unlikely that Disk Utility would be able to, but the Finder copy's worth a shot.

Success!!!

Dave...

Had to delete the font file. Also had to reinstall LiveType after it generated an error during backup. A little over 2 hours later, I had a bootable clone of my Tiger drive. Thanks again for the help.
