Multiple Drives and Smart Update

Hello,

I'm running 10.5.1 and using the following backup scheme. I have an external WD 500 gig drive partitioned to 160gb (labeled "Bootable Backup") that SuperDuper! Smart Updates on, and the remainder of the space devoted (and labeled) "Time Machine".

I want to implement an off-site backup strategy, so I have a question. If I buy another drive, format it and give it the same lables ("Time Machine" and "Bootable Backup"), how will Smart Update work?

Example: On Friday, I backup to drive 1 and on Saturday, I remove drive 1 and plug in drive 2. The newest backup SuperDuper! performed was on Friday and drive one, but drive 2's newest backup is Thursday. Will SmartUpdate bring drive 2 up to date, or will it only make the changes it has seen since the last time it ran (which would be on drive 1)?

Thanks,
Chad
