Storing the backup over the network, booting, speed of transfer
This post addresses more than one question:
1. I have a network shared drive where I'd like to keep all my backups, because I have a lot of empty space there. SUperDuper is completely able to store the backup there, no problem at all ... but I wonder if I will be able to boot from the network. 99% sure I wont be able to do so, but then why people would backup over the network then ? 2. About the speed of the backup ... I'm having an effective speed copy of 0,5mb/s. I know my network can go a lot faster than that. Why is it this slow ?
