Initial Backup

If a very large backup is underway and I would like to use the computer, which is the better option? 1) continue the backup and use the computer simultaneously or 2) quit SuperDuper and continue the backup later?
Thanks
Jacob

Well, that depends entirely on what you plan to do with the computer. You shouldn't use anything that has large open data files (eg Entourage, VMWare, Parallels, etc)... but doing light work should be fine.

I need to use a very large program with very large files, specifically Final Cut Pro X . I'm assuming that in this case it would be advisable to shut SD down and allow it to pick up where it left off later. BTW, I have been a SD user for many years and would like to thank you once again for an extremely good and dependable program.
Thanks again,
Jacob

If its files are on the drive you're backing up, yes.
