CCC can do smart backups. Do a copy selected items and just select the whole drive (everything). CCC only updates things that have changed. You can also check "Delete the items that don't exist on the source" unless you want to keep things even if they have been deleted from the source (not an exact clone). This works well and is just as fast as SuperDuper. The only issue with CCC is that scheduling appears to be broken in Leopard.
