Odd Event when backing up

Hi Dave--
I bought Office '08 for Mac and installed it on my G5 (tiger 10.4.11). At 9:30, SuperDuper kicked in, and cloned my HD to my external HD. About an hour later, for some reason I checked my backup to see if Office '08 was there...it wasn't. Office '04 still was, until I clicked on it and it 'went away' as did "Office Autoupdater." So..I installed '08 directly to my cloned HD..still didn't show up anywhere except "library/cache/temp items" and even then it was only 144MB instead of the nearly 600MB of the original. So...I reinstalled onto G5 HD and manually started SuperDuper to re-clone. This time everything "took"---any explanation for bizarre event, or should I just worry about world peace and leave it alone?

Lea
