Sorry, I not be following something.

Let's say I want to do a full, uncompressed, back up of all files on the hard drive on one computer. I have (or can get) a very good idea of how much space is used by files on that drive.

How does SuperDuper!'s "script" leave things out that would significantly reduce the size of the backup?

Why would the backup not be very close to the size of the original?

How could the backup be significantly smaller than the original?
