If TM did TM things reasonably reliably and reasonably well, as it once did, that'd be fine. While I'm still using TM, the only reliable backup I have are my SD clones. To be honest, my intention is to pique your interest, to think about implementing such a routine in SD. If anybody can do this, it's you. (and I'm sure you have lots of spare time to devote to this )
