Disk Image size a lot bigger than the backup size
My backup only copies some files from my User account. The size of the backp is about 20gigs (as of today). I have set the options to Smart Update to a sparse image. So I guess the image file should reflect the size of the files i'm backing up. However, the image file is more than 100gig. Why? How can I make it smaller?
I've tried to change the settings of the backup to Erase Than Copy, thinking that maybe the image file would be recreated from scrach to a smaller filesize. It didn't work, the size is the same. I could probably create a new disk image and really start from scratch, but I was wondering if there was another way? And does the file of the image will always go bigger and bigger? Anyone has an idea?
