Clone/Restore: RAID-0 -> single drive -> RAID-0 doesn't work
I have cloned a RAID-0 boot drive (10.4.8) of 3x Raptors on my Mac Pro, to both an internal and external FW400 drives.
The Mac can boot fine from either of these drives. However if I restore that clone back to the RAID-0 boot drive, the system can't boot anymore. I get strings of "Still waiting for root device" messages if I switch to verbose mode when booting. So how exactly can I do a perfect clone of my RAID-0 boot drive that can be restored back and that can boot? Note: Super Duper 2.1.3 v80 used Last edited by ioport; 12-02-2006 at 12:05 PM. |
