Error in cloning minimac to disk image
I have iMac and a minimac networked via wireless router. Since minimac cannot burn DVD, I wanted to make backup of the minimac drive. I created sparce disk image on iMac with Disk Utility and then cloned minimac with SuperDuper! over the network. Everything appeared to go well until the final stage of cloning when I got the following error message - here is log:

I have no trouble backing up the User Folder via wireless network on the iMac to a sparse image (located on partition on external fire wire hard drive attached to iMac). The disk image appears to function normally, although I haven't checked everything on it. At least a variety of documents open with different applications. I do not intend to make regular backups to this disk image: I merely wanted a complete clone of the minimac. What does error mean? |

I'm a bit confused about what you did. If there's a conversion going on here, you couldn't have used a sparse image, but rather a "direct" DMG.
If you want to back up with a sparse image, you should create it with Disk Utility, and then back up to it by selecting the volume it represents in the pop-up (rather than the file). Basically, you treat that like "real" disk...

Does the conversion failure mean that I have to repeat the 4.5 hour backup? |

Well, if you can find the sparse image, no -- you can keep that. But if not, yes... sorry.
