"event" based Back up?

I was at a local Mac user group recently and was led to believe I can trigger a back up when I connect an external drive.

So, instead of connecting the drive, opening up superduper, opening up the script and telling it to copy....

I would simply connect the external drive and "it" would figure out the details.

I looked through the manual (RTFM) and didn't see this address, so figured I'd check here...

Thanks,

c

This isn't available directly in the current version of SD. But, if you download and install "Do Something When" (it's free) and then follow the general steps in the "One Touch Button" FAQ -- but instead of hooking up the button, tell Do Something When to run the little script when you connect the drive -- you can accomplish this pretty easily.

Thanks Dave,
This looks like what I need. I will set it up and give it a whirl. Thanks for the quick reply (yet again).
