OK, I got it to boot from the USB Drive. But it was painfully slow. I realized it wasn’t an ssd drive after all.
So I bought a new drive. Did APFS-format from Disk Utility, then a SD! ‘erase all and copy’ - it still didn’t show up in the preference pane but it was there when I hit the option key booting up. I swapped the internal SSD in 5 minutes, booted from the USB Drive and did the same SD! operation the other way: From the UBS to internal SSD (did a APFS formatting first). Very satifsfied! Great tool and great support. Thanks Dave. I’m glad I can always rely on SuperDuper! |
