How can only backup certain files??

I am trying to only back up my VITAL data (I have a drive that is a complete copy of my Macintosh HD) but on another drive that I will keep off site I only want to copy certain folders)

I created a new Copy Script, added the folders in Script Commands and changed the COMMAND to copy. Yet SuperDuper is copying my entire Drive??? I do not want to copy the entire drive ONLY specific folder and files.

I have attached a ZIPped up copy of the copy script, any help would be appriciated.
Attached Files
File Type: zip SuperDuper.zip (22 Bytes, 923 views)

OK -- you might want to take a quick look at this FAQ entry, which goes into some detail about what's going on.

Note, though, that there's an easier way (I need to update the FAQ). Instead of "manually" excluding as it says, just include the "Exclude all files" copy script in the 2nd tab.

Thanks that worked......next problem......

I want to back up items from MacintoshHD as well as a folder from an external drive to a 2nd external drive. (My Itunes library is that external drive).

Basically I want stuff from my MacintoshHD and the ExternalDrive #1 to go to External Drive #2, is this possibly and if so please explain.

Thanks

You should create a partition on the external drive #2, one for Macintosh HD, and one for External Drive #1. Then, use two different copy scripts to handle the copy (each run can only copy from one volume).
