Feature Request - REAL network backup
I've tried using the network backup "solution" offered in 2.1.3v80, which creates a "sparse disk image" and yes, it does work - sort of. It's at best a workaround for an essential missing feature.
I should be able to target a network connected computer's actual folder, and synchronize directly to that folder. I need to copy my /Library/Mail folder from my desktop Mac to my laptop Mac. The folder is over 9GB, and SuperDuper COULD be a great solution if Smart Backup to a network drive folder was possible. Comments? |
