upgrading internal HD (MBP)

Hi,
planning to upgrade my internal HD I will rely on trusty SD. Does anybody know: will installing a new internal (boot-) HD cause a restart of TM-backups even after cloning back from a recent backup-clone?

Thanks,
Rolf
