How to hide my backup-partition

I love SuperDuper but for example when I open a document file with the "Open with"-Function of the finder there are of course duplicated Application entries when my Backup-Partition is mounted.

I can unmount my Backup-Partition but then the second partition of my external WD myBook HD also unmounts :-(

Is there a easy workaround for this little Problem. I've just not found anything in this forum.

How are you unmounting, in the Finder? You should be able to unmount the partition in Disk Utility and not lose the other...or remount it in DU.

This is how my external behaves, but it's not WD.

The unmount in Disk Utility mentioned above works well.

A cure for the duplicate "open with" items is here: http://www.macgeekery.com/gspot/2007...open_with_menu

Of course, run that when your backup volume is not mounted.
