SD development stalled?

Hi. I notice that there has not been any update to SD for nearly a year now. Does this mean that its development stopped and SD will be unsupported for the next OSX upgrade as it happened with netTunes before? Unfortunately I had paid for netTunes before I noticed its end. I hope it's not going to happen again for SD that I paid for also.

Not at all. We're working on updates to SD... but I don't release updates just to release an update.

netTunes, unfortunately, was broken by Apple in 10.5. Fixing it would require a complete rewrite, which isn't currently justified, especially since screen sharing is built into 10.5 and later for all users, and that can be used to control iTunes in a similar way. However, it was never listed as 10.5 compatible... and it was fully maintained from 10.1 until 10.4.11, including many years of free updates.

If I find some extra time, I may totally rewrite netTunes to make it compatible with 10.5 and later, but I just haven't been able to dedicate the time, alas.

If it works

and it does, no need to muck with it. There isn't anything missing that I can imagine.

So long as you all stay in business.

There might be a use for a supported product like Winclone.

There are always things we're looking at improving, and stuff we're working on. But given the amount of time it takes to design, implement and properly test updates, we just aren't going to be releasing a lot of updates all the time - it doesn't make sense to do.

The main thing we focus on are accuracy, reliability, usability and, of course, support...

So I searched thru the forum and saw you responded earlier this year to someone's question about PGP 10 support... any updates as to if/when you plan to support it?

Jay
