SD backup crashes finder after restart EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)

Due to replacement of my internal hard drive, I tried using superduper to copy all the contents of my external bootable firewire drive (10.5.6) to the internal drive (erase then copy all files) and rebooted the internal drive as startup volume.

While all applications appear to work fine, the finder crashes after initial login

EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x000000007b91d000 (number of zeroes approximated)

Thread 11 crashed

While I have now read there is some script that can be run after superduper completes, I've already started using the internal volume so some of the files are newer on the internal volume than the external volume, so I don't want to rerun the entire backup process just to run the post-backup script and I'm not sure if that is the same issue.

So given the fact that the source hard drive does not crash, what would cause the superduper erase then copy to cause the finder to crash and how can I correct the issue without having to re-run the backup?

Thank you!
