SD scheduled backups and Leopard Server
I have SD running on a Intel Mac Pro with Leopard Server 10.5.4 with 2 scheduled scripts. All looks OK but backup only works one time.
The next scheduled copie actually doesn't happen but Next Scheduled Copie in the SD screen gets updated to de next schedule. Cronjob seems OK, no screen lock or sleep involved, admin user is always logged in. What can be the problem? 30 21 8-14,22-31 * 1,2,3,4,5,6 open file:///Users/admin/Library/Application\%20Support/SuperDuper\%21/Scheduled\%20Copies/Smart\%20Update\%20Oneven\%20from\%20Server_HD_Mir rored.sdsp/Copy\%20Job.app 30 21 1-7,15-21 * 1,2,3,4,5,6 open file:///Users/admin/Library/Application\%20Support/SuperDuper\%21/Scheduled\%20Copies/Smart\%20Update\%20Even\%20from\%20Server_HD_Mirro red.sdsp/Copy\%20Job.app |

If you edit the one that doesn't work and set it to run 'a few minutes from now', then watch, does it work?

Yes it does.

Hm, then it should certainly work on its regular schedule time. Set the time back and let's see what happens.

dnanian,
that's what I tought also. I've put the time back to normal schedule at 9:30PM This is what found in the system log: Sep 19 14:07:56 server SuperDuper![17364]: .scriptSuite warning for attribute 'boundsAsQDRect' of class 'NSWindow' in suite 'NSCoreSuite': 'NSData<QDRect>' is not a valid type name. Sep 19 14:07:56 server SuperDuper![17364]: .scriptSuite warning for type 'NSTextStorage' attribute 'lastComponentOfFileName' of class 'NSDocument' in suite 'NSCoreSuite': AppleScript name references may not work for this property because its type is not NSString-derived. Sep 19 14:07:56 server SuperDuper![17364]: .scriptSuite warning for attribute 'boundsAsQDRect' of class 'NSWindow' in suite 'NSCoreSuite': 'NSData<QDRect>' is not a valid type name. Sep 19 14:07:56 server SuperDuper![17364]: .scriptSuite warning for type 'NSTextStorage' attribute 'title' of class 'NSWindow' in suite 'NSCoreSuite': AppleScript name references may not work for this property because its type is not NSString-derived. Sep 19 14:07:56 server SuperDuper![17364]: .scriptSuite warning for superclass of class 'NSAttachmentTextStorage' in suite 'NSTextSuite': 'NSString' is not a valid class name. Sep 19 14:10:00 server com.apple.launchd[1] (0x115bc0.cron[17389]): Could not setup Mach task special port 9: (os/kern) no access The last line bothers me. Is it possible SD is installing a new crontask after runnin the backup ? If so this could be the reason. gr Fonny |

Yes, that's pretty normal: it's generated under Leopard, but has nothing to do with actual 'job creation'.
