Create a backups.backupdb folder on a non Time Machine drive

Hello,

sorry for nagging again with this TM questions, but before losing an 8hr backup of a 1TB drive I'd like to know a "backups.backupdb" folder in a non-TM assigned drive will preserve its own content during an SD! backup on the same partition.

Hope it's possible...
