Big Sur backup

I saw that Big Sur uses a cryptographically sealed system volume, and that seal can only be applied by Apple. I assume you've been working on making SuperDuper compatible with this new feature.

Yes/no?

As indicated at the blog (http://www.shirt-pocket.blog), we're working on it. Just today, Apple finally fixed a bug that prevented us from working. So while we're working on it, we've been blocked for the entire summer by bugs in Big Sur.

Any update on general progress or estimate for when SD will work with Big Sur?

Just updated to Big Sur and v 11.1. Wished I had checked here first. Anyway, thanks for the update, Dave. Hope the recent Apple changes allow you to make better progress.

In the interim, as you suggested, I'll switch to Time Machine. However, it's so slow compared to SD. Welcome to 2020

Format as APFS and use Time Machine to that. I think you'll find it's not that slow.
