Time Machine copy sanity check

Hi Dave,

Once again I'm migrating my TM partition to another drive (third time; two years worth of backups). No issues this time with locked sparsebundles.

However, I wanted help interpreting the results. The results said it copied around 10 million of over 13 million files and Finder reports used space of 449.88 GB vs. the original 451.32 GB. I'd like to explain the difference.

One thought was that the files not copied might be all the hard links. But the only thing I could think of for the missing 1.44 GB was Spotlight data, but that looks to be only about half that size on the original.

Thoughts? I think all is good, but I'd feel better knowing what those missing 3 mil. files were.

Thanks
