clone to network drive
Greetings.
I have a couple of external firewire drives attached to a networked Powerbook. These drives contain my music library and various backups. I would like to be able to mount these drives to the desktop of my iBook (also on the network) and use SuperDuper to backup the iBook drive to the external firewire drives attached to the PowerBook on the network. Even with the net drives mounted on the iBook desktop, SuperDuper does not give me the option of selecting one as a target. Am I missing something? Thanks. mf |

Sorry it took a little longer than usual to reply to this, Mike.
At present, we don't support cloning to a network mounted drive. (Note, though, that you can store a backup *image* on a network drive -- you just can't clone to it.) There are various obscure technical reasons for this that are entirely uninteresting, believe me. <g> We're looking at removing this restriction in a future version of SuperDuper, once we figure out a way around the issues involved. Hope that helps!
