Consolidate 4 HD's onto 1 HD?

So let me get this out of the way first - I can't believe I even OWN 5 HD's! (72GB, 2 250GB's, a new 250GB internal, and the 55GB internal that's now external). Bear in mind, my first Mac HD in the 80's was 20 MB - that's MEGABYTES - and cost $500! (BTW, the 877 total GB's I own now, at $25/MB, would cost almost $22,000,000!). But anyway, to get to the point, is there a way to end up with a backup that is all of the information from the four HD's but doesn't have any redundant info? In other words, the backup would appear to have come from one very large drive. Ideally, that would clean off one of the 250GB HD's. Thanks for any insights.
