Copy Error on Restore
Latest version of Super Duper (free copy from website), MacOS X (10.3.9) -- fresh installation with additional software installed. All software installation/procedures performed as "sysop".
1. Image creation (backup all files) proceeds without errors and successfully completes (source host connected to sysop host, and booted in target mode). "Repair Permissions" checked. 2. Image copied to external drive (FireWire connection). 3. External drive connected to target host (third computer) via FireWire. Disk Utility run as "sysop", and I attempt to perform a "restore", using the newly-created image -- "erase destination" is checked, and restore fails within seconds, giving a "copy error (1)" error message and restore halts. Anyone run into this behavior? TIA! Jonathan B. Horen American Heritage School Delray Beach, FL |

Try mounting the image, then selecting the volume and restoring volume-to-volume rather than image-to-volume, Jonathan. Let me know if that works.
