SuperDuper Stopping

I've been using SuperDuper for about a year with my MBP running OSX 10.4 (now 10.4.11). Suddenly tonight it seems to have stopped working.

Every time I attempt a backup, it starts to run and then, after about fifteen minutes to half an hour, it just stops making any progress. Only the elapsed time moves. It pauses like this for as long as two hours.

Any thoughts about what might be going on?
