Smart backup of a folder?

Apologies if this has been addressed before, but I'm a noob and I couldn't find anything.

I've got about 200 GB of iTunes music stored on an external drive. After a recent scare in which I thought I'd lost all of it, I decided I should bite the bullet and buy an additional external hard drive to back up my music.

Is there a way to use SuperDuper! to smart backup my (externally hosted) iTunes Music Folder? I'm thinking I'd like to backup my music folder to the new external drive and then on a weekly basis have SuperDuper! update the backup with any new music I've added.

Make sense? Is this possible?

Sure. Just use that volume and "Backup - all files" to the additional external...

Thanks for the quick reply, but I'm not sure if your answer will work for me.

I've got my iTunes Music Folder and some other random files--movies, photos, stuff from work, old archived stuff, etc.--stored on an unpartitioned 500 GB external drive.

If I select that volume and backup all files, it's going to smart backup everything on the drive. I just want to smart backup the iTunes Music Folder, not all the other random crap I store alongside it on the drive. So rather than selecting the entire volume, I'd like to be able to select just the music folder or, alternatively, if there's no way to do that, I guess I'd like to be able to select the volume and then tell SuperDuper! to skip everything except the iTunes Music Folder.

Am I completely off base or does my question make sense?

That's possible. Drop me a note to support and I'll provide you with instructions (rather than re-post them again here).

Smile iTunes library on external HD

Hi dnanian,
I have peychaud's same needs: just backup the iTunes library folder hosted on my partitioned MyBook external HD (a partition is a bootable section for my iMac - thanks to SuperDuper!).

Can you send me the instructions you sent to peychaud?

thanks a lot
