What I am trying to do

Well, like many users of Tiger, I have lost my "Classic" feature of my Mac.

It seems to me that I have to do as follows to get "Classic" support.
1. Use Disk utility to erase the drive choosing the option to make the drive "Classic Compatible"
2. (Here is where I get lost, I think) Reinstall the "original" system from the PowerMac G4 Restore disk.
3. From the newly installed system X that came with my Mac (10.2.x), install "Classic Support" from the G4 restore disk.
4. From here is where I would have to start to get files from the Clone.

I was thinking that I would have to then do a "Smart Copy" from the booted "Clone" to my laptop hard disk at this point.

Does this make sense or can you suggest another way to get "Classic Support" installed onto my current Tiger configuration?

I hope that this all makes sense and, if you want to give me a step by step of how you would do this, I would appreciate it.
