FAT32? Oh no! I very explicitly warn against copying to a FAT32 drive in the User's Guide if you have over 4GB of data, since it'll limit the image's growth to 4GB, total, and doing so can fail catastrophically. My guess is that the image itself corrupted because it couldn't grow, but not all the APIs produced failures. You don't happen to have the log from this copy, do you?
