SuperDuper and "Safe Sleep" RAM image

Does SuperDuper! handle the Safe Sleep feature of new Powerbooks (and that many have enabled via various hints available on the web for older Powerbooks, Mac minis, etc)? I.e. the "hibernate" mode....

Don't want to disable indexing, just stop re-indexing

The hints I've seen here give the advice of disabling spotlight indexing for the backup drive, but doing this means you can not search the backup drive at all! Finder and Spotlight return no results....

Can SuperDuper! be used to clone an iPod (mini in my case) and then later restore it? Or does the iPod have some funkiness that prevents this from working?
